How to make Salmon Tostadas

The inspiration behind these tostadas is one of those cooking shows you watch at 10 at night before you go to sleep where you just want to change all the ingredients, is that just me? LOL. I was watching just yesterday, and I immediately made a note to myself to try this recipe for lunch today and it totally worked.

These tostadas are VERY easy to put together and you can make all the prep in advance, they work for a weekday lunch or even as a cool appetizer for Friday happy hour at your house.

Ingredients

For the cheese

  • 1 cup of ricotta cheese

  • 1 green onion, finely chopped

  • ½ tsp of fresh ground black pepper

  • ½ tsp of kosher salt

  • The zest of 1 small lime

  • The juice of 1 small lime

You will also need

  • Good quality salmon cut in thin slices (sashimi style), you can totally use tuna or scallops

  • Salsa Macha, my recipe, or any other mild salsa of your preference

  • Some parsley to garnish

  • Tostadas

Preparation

  1. Mix all the cheese ingredients together and set aside.

  2. Grab a tostada and add the ingredients in this order: one tablespoon of the cheese mixture all spread out, then cover the tostadas with slices of salmon and top it with Salsa Macha. That’s all!

This is the easiest recipe I’ve ever posted but I HAD TO! I already know I’ll be doing these over the weekend with a glass of prosecco or a mezcal cocktail.

Buen provecho!
