Hey guys!
Time to talk Gourmet…Chicago Gourmet! If you follow me on Instagram you noticed I was in Chicago a few months ago attending the always awesome Chicago Gourmet event. This was definitely a very different year, mostly because the event turned 10 years old! Congrats Bon Appétit Magazine! I actually got the opportunity to attend the kick off ceremony, where Rham Emanuel (Chicago Major) announced Chicago as the “Culinary City” of 2017!
The lineup this year was to die for, from chefs like Rick Bayles and Curtis Stone to our beloved Lorena Garcia and Takashi Yagihashi were there for book signing events and recipe demonstrations.
Ok. I’m not going to lie here, I once ran after Curtis Stone at Orlando, Florida’s airport and didn’t make it, he got into the the airtrain way before I was even able to say “Hi, Selfie?” hahaha. Anyway, this time I got the opportunity to say hi but this is the only picture I have of him, so… ladies… and gents:
Viva México! Of course, the Mexican booth was one of the most popular throughout the whole event! Here Lula Bistro from Guadalajara, México.

Guys, as I always say, if you’re a foodie like me and want to spend a few hours eating good food and having some drinks with your friends, you definitely should try this year’s event. Stay tuned for ticket releasing at their website.
